Admiral Ossama Rabiee, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation with Maersk Group, during his meeting with Mr. Vincent Clerc, CEO of A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, Ms. Rabab Boulos, Chief Operating Officer, Member of the Executive Board of A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, Mr. Ahmed Hassan, Vice President of Operations of A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, and Mr. Hani El-Nady, Representative of A.P. Moller-Maersk Group in the Middle East and North Africa, via video conference.
The meeting witnessed discussing the latest developments in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, and examining the extent of their impact on the Group's navigation plans during the next period.
At the beginning of the meeting, Admiral Rabiee stressed the depth of the extended strategic relations with Maersk Group, which is a major partner in achieving common goals towards contributing to serving the global trade movement and strengthening global supply chains, expressing his aspiration that the coming period will result in more constructive bilateral cooperation at all levels.
Admiral Rabiee pointed out that the current situation in the Red Sea region is witnessing many positive indicators that should be taken into consideration when developing navigation plans and schedules during the coming period.
On his part, Mr. Vincent Clerc, CEO of A.P.Moller-Maersk Group, expressed his appreciation for the efforts exerted by the Egyptian State and the concerned parties to work on restoring stability to the Red Sea region again.
The CEO of A.P. Moller-Maersk Group stressed the Group's keenness on following up on the developments in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, expressing positive impressions regarding current developments with the beginning of the return of stability to the region, and expressing his aspiration that the coming weeks will witness further stability, which will positively reflect on the region and freedom of navigation.
On her part, Ms. Rabab Boulos, Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Executive Board of A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, stressed that the Group is closely following up on the developments in the Red Sea region, which is witnessing a positive progress, expressing her aspiration for achieving permanent stability.
