Construction Project: Two 190-Ton Salvage Tugboats

The Authority's maritime fleet is undergoing an unprecedented qualitative leap with the addition of tugboats of various classes and bollard-pull capacities ranging from 9 to 190 tons. The new salvage tugboats are the latest and most significant addition in the history of the Authority's maritime fleet, with a bollard-pull surpassing that of the Authority's largest existing salvage tugs. These vessels are equipped with a Dynamic Positioning (DP) system for enhanced maneuverability when handling external units, and an SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) exhaust purification system, in line with the Authority's strategy to have a "Green Canal".
