Fishing Vessel REZK 1

   REZK 1, the fishing vessel that joined the SCA's fleet in 2025, is the first advanced Egyptian fishing vessel equipped for high-seas fishing. The Egyptian Cabinet has approved that the SCA charters it to the South Red Sea Shipyard company in a step to promote fishing activities and maximize the benefit from state-owned assets

Project of Building 12 High-Seas Fishing Vessels


The class of the high-seas fishing vessels REZK, currently being built in cooperation with the South Red Sea Shipyard under the supervision of the Italian classification society RINA, is considered the first of its kind in Egypt. Each of the 12 vessels in this series has an integrated system for fishing as well as fish production and packaging which are executed through state-of-the-art equipment and technology. These efforts, aimed at developing the Egyptian fleet of fishing vessels, are in implementation of the directives of the political leadership.

The project is divided into two sections; 6 long liner fishing vessels and 6 trawler fishing vessels. They differ in terms of the fishing system each uses.
