In order to encourage tourist yachts to transit the Suez Canal and attract them to boost tourism in the Red Sea, the Suez Canal Authority has made the following decisions:

The fee for usage of Suez Canal Authority’s Electronic Service mentioned in “Article One” of the periodical issued on 26/07/2020 concerning Suez Canal Authority’s Electronic Service is amended

​In line with the Suez Canal Authority's (SCA) commitment to supporting the 6th edition of the Egypt International Boat Show, to be held at Marassi Alalamein, North Coast, from 11 July 2024, the SCA has resolved as follows:

Concerning (Laden/Ballast) “Vehicles Carriers” operating in both directions between ports at the “East Coast of the Americas and the US Gulf” and ports at the “Far East and South East of Asia (starting from Port Klang and its Eastern ports)”

Concerning “Containerships” (laden/ballast) directly coming from ports at “North-West Europe” and directly heading to (Port Klang) port and its Eastern ports at the “Far East”

Concerning laden or ballast “Containerships” coming from ports at the “East Coast of the Americas and the US Gulf” and heading to ports “at the South and South East of Asia”
