Rabiee discusses ways of promoting cooperation in the fields of maritime industries and logistical services

Foreign visits and joint meetings enable the discussion of means to attract investments and establish future partnerships.

Admiral Ossama Rabiee, Chairman and Managing Director of the Suez Canal Authority, has discussed with Ambassador Khalid Abdel Rahman, Egyptian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, ways of promoting mutual cooperation between the SCA and South Korean companies and institutions in the field of maritime industries and logistical services, at the Egyptian Embassy in Seoul.
 
The meeting witnessed a discussion on the targeted cooperation frameworks in the fields of shipbuilding and ship repair, as well as training, green transformation and sustainable development.

During the meeting, Adm. Rabiee expressed his appreciation of the diplomatic effort exerted to further advance the bilateral relations between Egypt and South Korea through laying the foundations for business that are more open. That is in addition to adopting an ambitious agenda which aims for achieving direct and active communication between the competent entities in both countries to achieve joint interests and support efforts of development. 

H.E. also emphasized the SCA's keenness on investing the rapprochement the joint relations between both countries are witnessing through exploring new horizons of cooperation to achieve further exchange of expertise and transfer of modern technology as well as provide advanced training systems. Moreover, foreign trips as well as joint meetings and visits provide the opportunity to discuss means of attracting investments and establishing future partnerships with the SCA's affiliated companies and shipyards.

On his part, Ambassador Khalid Abdel Rahman stressed the strength and uniqueness of the bilateral relations between Egypt and South Korea which is recently witnessing unprecedented growth and flourishment in light of the attention shown by the political leadership in both countries to deepen the connections and broaden the base for business and introduce new fields of partnership.

H.E. the Ambassador has also pointed out that South Korea is very interested in setting in motion cooperation with the SCA as a main link in the movement of South Korean exports and trade, adding that South Korean companies and institutions are looking forward to directing substantial investments towards SCA and SCZone projects, and see tangible results on the ground.

At the end of the meeting, Adm. Ossama Rabiee presented Ambassador Khalid Abdel Rahman with the New Suez Canal commemorative shield.
