On his part, Mr. Mostafa El-Dougishy, Chairman of the South Red Sea Shipyard, has stressed that Misr Tugboats Factory has succeeded in achieving the required execution rates and meeting the agreed upon schedule to complete the works. That was done through increasing the operation rates, hiring additional personnel at the Factory as well as supplying all the internal and external equipment necessary for the project of building the tugboats AZM.

He explained that work is in full force to complete the works as the Factory aims to deliver AZM 3 and AZM 4 then launch the two next tugboats AZM 5 and AZM 6 by the end of this year.

El-Dougishy added that South Red Sea Shipyard is witnessing major infrastructure developments as the new construction expansions include completing the development of the quay wall in addition to developing the Shipyard's building yard. Following the launching ceremony, Adm. Rabiee inspected the ongoing building of the high-seas fishing vessels to check the progress of work as the assembly of the metal sections of the hulls of three of them was completed. Now, the assembly of the fourth out of twelve fishing vessels identical to RIZK 1 is underway and will be built consecutively.
The tour included inspection of the the South Red Sea Shipyard's other construction expansions as H.E. inspected the touristic yacht factory of Egypt Yachts; a company established as a partnership between the Suez Canal Authority and South Red Sea Shipyard, where the Factory's construction works are finished and the necessary equipment are being supplied. That was followed by an inspection of the new administrative building.
