The Suez Canal Yacht Marina at Ismailia has received Mr. Bernard d’Alessandri, General Secretary & Managing Director of Monaco Yacht Club, accompanied by a high-profile delegation. SCA officials and the Marina's management team were among the receiving delegation.
This visit is in light of the Suez Canal Yacht Marina's keenness on enhancing communication with all the active entities in the field of yachting. And Monaco Yacht Club is considered a global venue that has over 2500 members of 80 different nationalities; including stakeholders and actors in the field of yacht building internationally.
The visit witnessed signing an MoU on joint cooperation between both entities; where Eng. Nashaat Nasr Eldin, the SCA's Director of the Transit Dept., signed as the Suez Canal Yacht Marina's representative and Mr. Bernard d’Alessandri signed as the representative of Monaco Yacht Club. The signing ceremony was also attended by Mr. José Marco Casellini, CEO of Monaco Marina Management (M3).
The MoU encompasses mutual cooperation in the fields of marketing, exchange of expertise and providing services.
As per this MoU, the Suez Canal Yacht Marina grants a bundle of premium incentives and facilitations with regards to the Suez Canal transit as well as berthing and wintering at the Marina.
On his part, Mr. Bernard d’Alessandri has expressed his pleasure in visiting the Suez Canal Authority for the first time which has enabled him to get acquainted with the scale of services provided by the SCA to its clients.
Mr. D’Alessandri has also lauded the unique modern design of the Marina which is a combination of simplicity, elegance and inclusiveness thus meets all the needs of the Marina's clients.
He has also praised the SCA's efforts exerted to localise the shipbuilding industry at global standards wishing it success in all its strategic plans.
The day included a tour of the New Suez Canal followed by a visit to the training simulators at the SCA's Maritime Training and Simulation Academy, and a visit to the Suez Canal Authority Museum; the most prominent touristic destination in the city of Ismailia.
