The Egyptian Consul General in Marseille emphasized the importance of Egypt's participation in international events and exhibitions specializing in marine tourism and yacht tourism, as they provide promising opportunities to place Egypt on the global yacht tourism map.
During her visit, Ambassador Haidi Serri listened to a detailed explanation of the efforts made by the Suez Canal Authority to promote yacht tourism. She was also briefed about the features and capabilities of the Suez Canal Yacht Marina in Ismailia as a modern and sustainable model that attracts marine tourism in Egypt.
For her part, Princess Fawzia Latifa, daughter of King Ahmed Fouad II, the last king of Egypt, affirmed that the Suez Canal holds a special significance in the human conscience. She expressed her pride in the honorable representation of the Suez Canal Authority and Egypt at the most important international tourism exhibitions.
Princess Fawzia pointed out the notable features and rich history of Egypt's maritime heritage, expressing her hope that the yacht Al-Mahrousa would participate in the Monaco International Yacht Show next year, as it represents an unparalleled maritime icon.
