Concerning Vessels Carrying Dangerous Cargo

Article one
It has been recently noticed that many owners of vessels classified as "General cargo vessels" or " General cargo/container vessels" submit new classification certificate that the vessel is a" Multi-purpose vessel", despite the fact that no alterations are made to the vessel .
It is therefore decided that the SCA shall apply Item (12) of Article (57) of the SC Rules of Navigation on “Multi-purpose vessels ", as well as vessels classified as “General cargo", and "General cargo/container vessel ".

Article two
This circular shall be effective as of 1/6/2010 .
